Consumer price inflation edged up some in September but is well below its highs earlier this year. We are not out of the woods yet, but it's not our biggest risk now.
"Prices at the pump are high which ... hurts." Yes, they've gotten back to the level they were at in the fall of 2008! High enough for politicians to begin to pander on the issue, but not high enough to incentivize our further movement away from internal combustion engines.
