His embrace of deregulation is really troubling.

IMO, it's beyond perplexing and extends into demoralizing that Warsh is even an appointee let alone at the gates of confirmation.

In a world where we are attempting to:

1) extricate Epstein files participants from government and into deserved accountability and ultimately being parayas...

2) the evolving non-partisan resistance against Trump...

3) historically low overall support for Trump as reflected in the polls, which are likely understating disapproval for fear of reprisal by those polled...

4) the very likely blue tsunami in midterms which will surely immediately result in impeachment proceedings and actionable accountability for the regime...

5) the Trumpstein files; the daily brazen depravity and self enrichment, the insane behavior domestically and globally..

...why would ANY Trump appointee for ANY position be even permitted to pass through those gates of confirmation?????????

Seems like the most favorable outcome is the confirmation of Warsh to be delayed into midterms season. I don't know how impeachment proceedings would impact Trump's appointing anyone but seeing Trump and his regime successfully impeached and pursuit of clawbacks on IGG would be the best antidote and cure for demoralization.

"...why would ANY Trump appointee for ANY position be even permitted to pass through those gates of confirmation?????????"

Because of GOP cowardice, and its long standing habit of putting party before country. That's today's game of politics.

To know what type of Fed Chair Warsh will be just imagine him being across the table from Trump:

Trump: If I nominate you, you must do everything I tell you to do no matter what you think.

Warsh: Yes sir!

Trump: You have the job.

Imagine another scenario

Trump: If I nominate you, you must do everything I tell you to do no matter what you think.

Warsh: No sir, I must do what is right for the county and economy. I will be totally independent!

Trump: You're fired.

I would prefer less politeness. Rather than just ask for clarification of his inconsistency, why not come right out and note that he lacks integrity?

How far up Trump's ... nose is Warsh and what is the scale of his sycophancy? The Fed Bd. of Govs should have a strong voice in this decision. Trump is going down. Do not give him the Fed on his last foul breath

He’s clearly political which is not independent (mathematically!!)

Biggest change is view that state inc Fed has over-reached. Scrap dot plots, every meeting is live, scrap models and use markets…balance sheet doesn’t come to the rescue (that’s the hard part)

I didn't know Warsh is a disciple of Milton Friedman. It figures. I'm amazed, but not surprised, that he contradicts himself. He is after all a Trumpkopf acolyte. Thus equivocating is naturally part of his MO.

"Hopefully, in his hearing, Warsh will clarify his thinking and help us see how the pieces fit together". Hopefully the senate will have the good sense to reject him outright. He's clearly unfit for the job.
